Blog comment carnival: July 2013

It's the first of August!! And that means two things:
1. It's the first day of VEDA, so I'm probably having a nervous breakdown in the corner, because 31 is a lot of videos, it seems like I'm the only participant in the southern hemisphere, and I'm about 15 hours ahead of most other participants, meaning that unless I upload my videos at the last minute every time, mine will go up waaaaaaaaaaaaay before anyone else's. And that's terrifying...
2. It's time to link up with Jessica for the blog comment carnival!!

That's right, it's time to pick out my favourite comments from this month and show you guys the love!!

On Send puppies. And chocolate:
So, this is not *really* relevant to the story, but you mentioned crying once while watching HIMYM.

I can think of seven episodes off the top of my head that have made me ugly cry. And the one where Ted realizes he's all alone? SOBS.

On Marvel movies trump DC movies:
I know I've said I don't want to see MoS, but I kinda do now, just to use it as a drinking game. Drink every time they tell instead of showing. Drink every time someone says or does something unintentionally funny.

Maybe it's just my dislike of DC in general making me a little biased, but I just can't get behind their films. I would pay good money to see a Wonder Woman film, but only if it was helmed by someone who knows how to make a superhero movie that isn't trying to be a Superhero Movie. Other than that, anything DC related... I'll enjoy it while I'm watching it, but about half an hour after I get out of the cinema (so I guess they do their job in that respect) the cons start outweighing the pros, and then I just start to get annoyed. Over all, the reason I'm not a fan of DC is because I just can't connect with the characters.

Also, let's be honest. Clark Kent is flying around in Kryptonian underwear. That's worse than Ms Marvel's old bodysuit getup, and they're comparable power wise. At least Carol has a proper suit now, Clark hasn't graduated to that stage of heroics yet.
The noise! It really was ridiculously loud - I spent at least half of the movie wincing.

I wish they'd spent more money on a decent script but it seems as though any extra money went towards knocking down more buildings. It's as though someone asked: "Should we turn this plot into a seamless sequence of inter-related events that make for a satisfying movie or should we just get special effects to knock down another city block?" and everyone else gave the wrong answer every single time.

Honestly, this Clark Kent seemed like a total, driftless loser. And yes, the whole Jesus/saviour of mankind analogy was slathered on a bit strong there.

Also: Lois Lane running about doing reporter stuff in those heels. Are they serious? They put her in a smart looking pant-suit and then whack on heels and make her run across fields or broken-down cities. It drove me crazy.

On Biscuits and burgers (aka the final installment of my trip to the US in January):
About an hour after you left I realized KFC sells real southern biscuits - the regular, non-cheddar kind and they have a drive-thru.

I guess I don't eat fried chicken enough to have thought about that in time.

On Who wants to go on a roadtrip?:
1. Scarlett is a bitch.
2. The submarine - is that some kind of Sahara like placement? Is there gold? So many questions!
3. Man, I need to do more road trips in Australia.
I, too, love Scarlett and GWTW...but yes: bitch. Lamentably. Faaar too many examples to cite, of course. (Oy.)

On Challenge accepted:
The best thing about Dessert Day is that I get to see two lots of photos of utterly delicious desserts. Too much dessert is never a bad thing.

On A tale of two TV shows:
I didn't watch either of these shows. I had a hard time believing Kristen Bell was a teenager, which is weird because she was only like 22 or 23 at the time and is teeny tiny, but I just didn't buy it. And I never watched Dollhouse (it didn't get a ton of press here, either, and by the time anybody really knew it existed it was cancelled) but HOLY PHOTOSHOP on that second pic. Jeez. They look like wax figurines.
Big Whedon fan, NOT a Dollhouse fan. In fact, I couldn't finish the series either.

I do however, love Veronica Mars. But for some reason haven't finished the series...thanks for the inspiration to finally do that!

On Comfort zones and being outside them:
Good lord, how did that autocaption come up??

I don't think I'll ever be a vlogger, but I love listening to other people's accents. It either reminds me of home, or makes me dream of places I would love to travel to...

On On why I prefer Elementary to Sherlock:
I watched both and definitely prefer Elementary. I love the depth of the relationships and the acting, as you said, is phenomenal. I love that there are enough elements from the book in the series to keep me engaged and that the settings are contemporary enough to do the same. I thought it was a great balance :)

Thanks for all your fabulous comments, as always. Don't forget to link up with Jessica if you write your own post!! Also, if you want to see all my VEDA videos, you can subscribe here.

Blog comment carnival: June 2013

I realised the other day that it's been a while since I've linked up with Jessica for her month blog comment carnival. Like, "since October of last year" kind of a while. WHOOPS. Although given that I was in Canberra at the end of November doing an internship, was braindead in December thanks to Christmas, and then was in the US (and yes, I will EVENTUALLY write up the last installment of my trip) in January, it's not surprising that I kind of forgot to pick it up again once things settled down.

ANYWAY. Let's get back into it, yes? Yes.

On Movie Monday: She's All That:
Oh God, I love this movie so much.

SO, SOOO MUCH.

Last year, my besties and I were so desperate to watch it one night, we went to a Blockbuster -- and it had been checked out. We were dismayed, natch.

A few days later, I bought the DVD for ten bucks snd much happiness ensued.

I soooo wanna watch it again. Like, NOW again.

(Oh, and I used to loooove Freddie circa '98 and '99. DUH.)

xo

She had me at falafel hat.

On Do you hear the bloggers sing?:
That still stands as one of the best girls-night-out experiences ever. I doubt the record will be beat any time soon.

On Movie Monday: Forgetting Sarah Marshall:
My sister made my mother and I watch this with her and I'm not sure this is a movie you really want to watch with your mother in the room. Also Mila Kunis is amazingly awesome in this movie.

On Judgey McJudgerson and the early morning adventure:
Well, all of that sounds delightful!

Love your text msg convo, hahah.

And you've got way more balls than I because, although I'll happily go paragliding (and I did, on Yogi's and my honeymoon), the thought of a hot air balloon ride scares the bejesus outta me.

But OH does it look fun...!

xox

On Sadly lacking in Timbits:
This boggles my mind - why didn't they just use the ice re-surfacer machine from The Icehouse which is practically within walking distance? Ok..it's not.. But seriously, probably would have been a) faster and b) more effective.

The thing that lacks in Australian Ice-Hockey is the fights. When I use to go watch Melbourne Ice play, it was too tame.

I can tell that I've become a real melbournite when I cheered you on for booing a collingwood player. assimilation - complete.

On Funemployment:
Totally a ghost. I feel sad that someone had to eat it - it's like a long lost friend that I never met.

On Movie Monday: Pitch Perfect:
I LOVE THIS MOVIE! I think the quiet Asian girl is my favorite. I listen to the soundtrack all the time and I might make the youth watch it on our 13 hour drive to Texas next week...

OOF. Love this movie, luuuurrrrrve it.

And now I wanna watch it again! And again and again! And-- oh, okay, you get it. The little "I-wanna-be-a-popstar" twelve year old inside cries at the beautiful harmonisation.

And Rebel Wilson is the shiz. So happy for her success in movies, yay!

xo

On I would make a truly terrible spy. Just like Sydney Bristow:
ADLSOIFNOSINDFLKSNCXXLOIHGOIHWSLDFKJLSKJD FFFFFFFFFFEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLSSSSSSSSSS

Damnit.

So yeah. Alias. Bradley Cooper will always be Willage Idiot to me, I can never get past that. Also HOW CAN YOU FORGET THE FRANCINATOR SRLY WHUT?

Here's me having an honest moment - I am a total Syd/Weiss shipper. IDEK why. Save me.

Thank you for leaving me awesome comments of awesomeness. I love you all. Don't forget to go and link up with Jessica if you write your own blog comment carnival post!

Blog comment carnival: October 2012

It's November 1st, and that means two very important things:

1. It's the first day of NaBloPoMo, or National Blog Posting Month! If you're not aware of it, the idea is to publish a blog post every day. That whole "the more you write, the better you get" idea, you know? So I apologise in advance, but your Google Readers are going to be full of posts from me this month. As I said last year, there's a possibility that it will descend into posts consisting solely of gifs of David Tennant, but here's hoping it doesn't come to that...

2. It's time to link up with Jessica for the blog comment carnival!!

On Movie Monday: Death at a Funeral:
At first I was gonna be all like, "Peter Dinklage is also totes Griphook/Filius Flitwick in Harry Potter aaaaaand Wicket in Return of the Jedi!!!!" (because one of my favorite things is to inform people what other roles actors in movies have played...like did you know that Jodi Benson [aka the voice of Ariel] is ALSO the voice of Thumbelina? And the voice of King Triton in The Little Mermaid is the voice of the Fairy King in Thumbelina!? Yep. Anyway...)

So yea. I was gonna do that. And then I realized that, in fact, Peter Dinklage is not Warwick Davies. It's kind of awful that I mix them up because really, their only similarity is the fact that they both have forms of dwarfism. ((facepalm))

On In which people are weird, part 2:
This is so funny! I made a couple of these ones many years ago in another blog because I just felt so shocked about the kind of things people googled and how on earth did that search lead them to my blog.

And funny thing is that today I was thinking of doing it for Joy of Sooz. But girl, those searches, they are truly unique, can't compete to that!

Most of the people land of my blog because they search naughty pictures of Harry Potter. I don't have them! They want Luna Lovegood and Bellatrix Lestrange the most. No Hermione. Oh and this week I got an 'anal tattoo'. Yes. No idea. Don't want to know. Weird people.

So ... you don't have a recipe for a velociraptor cheesecake?
I have no idea what a Jedward is. I'd google it, but apparently, that would just lead me back to your blog.
I was already aware that clowns are creepy, but Supernatural definitely confirmed it. Also, there's another clown episode of Supernatural in the newest season on Netflix and I am kind of dreading it. The "good riddance you traitor" cake might send a mixed message if it's actually a tasty cake that you baked for them. I feel like you would have to not put in sugar or something so they really get the message. I feel like a good ol' passive-aggressive "good riddance you traitor" sticky note would take a lot less time and get the point across without being confusing.

On Ancient History, Volume XXX:
Yup, Cancún is the pits. Crass, loud, expensive. And so expensive! The bus situation has improved with the addition of formal bus stops, but that guy selling quality junk was still there last week!

On Movie Monday: Ghostbusters II:
Every line in this post, I heard as if I was watching the movie. I do love this movie, but I have one complaint: That damn "Higher and Higher" song is stuck in my head now!

:p
I have this memory from when I was really young and watched this for the first time. When the Titanic came in, I asked my mom what it was. And rather than bothering to explain the whole thing, she just said "an old ship." While true, didn't really answer my question. That part became actually funny once I learned about the titanic and saw the movie again.

On 101 in 1001 #3:
I MISS JARRITOS. My god, I love those things.
Please tell me tales of Inspector Climate made it into the sleep talking? Because that would make my day :)

On Ancient History, Volume XXXI:
Not to wax philosophical - but I think the worst and best days are most often the same day :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hostess_CupCake

Yep, called something else in the States. We're so creative with our naming that it's just a damned CupCake. WOOHOO.

I love Chicken Eatsa (as my family has always called it). It's so much fun. Especially when they let you run up one of the pyramids (which I don't know if they still do).
At first I thought Pinguinos were basically Ding Dongs, but now I realize they are, in fact, Cupcakes, which are quite similar things really. Check out the Wikipedia page though: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ding_Dong I find it highly suspicious that they put the word chocolate in quotes when talking about the chocolate glaze. Also, I need to go there someday. So many cool things! I love the look of old ruins and ancient civilizations, but have never visited any. (Horrid wording unless I'm an actual time traveler, but sadly, no.)

On 3 years and 2 days later...:
1. JD and I are both gun owners.

2. You are so adorable for not knowing what jello jigglers are, and Mormons can tell you there are HUNDREDS of ways to use jello :)

3. I LOVE your tap dancing!

4. SOULESSSSSSSSSSS. (not to overshadow TFioS, but... you know)
Replies
  1. 1. Is it weird if I ask why? I find the whole American gun ownership thing quite interesting...
    2. Yeeeeeeah. In Australia, jelly is reserved exclusively for children's birthday parties. And for hospital meal trays. We don't add fruit to it, we don't make salads with it. At most, we dump a scoop of ice cream on top of it.
    3. THANK YOU
    4. YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  2. JD hunts, in case we ever need them for self defense, and to be prepared when the zombie apocalypse comes.
Happy 500th post! I must admit, libraries are part of my post-apocalypse plan, too, although it's mostly because I think those giant, hardback books would make excellent weapons against the undead (in the event that that undead are involved).
We tried to get Caro to eat jelly and ice cream yesterday. There was steadfast refusal and much talk of the differences between jam, jelly and jell-o.

I love your face <3

On Movie Monday: Whip It:
Personally, I don't think this movie gets NEARLY enough credit. I LOVE IT. Also? I always get SO ANGRY when what's-his-assface turns out to be king of the douchebags.
This movie did make me briefly consider joining a roller derby team, but then I remembered how injured I get already just going about my normal life! I'm pretty sure I'd end up in hospital :P

On More than you ever wanted to know:
I am too lazy to tag people, so I'm going to answer your questions in the comments. Also, I think you and I share a brain. ALL OF THE FACTS. Well, apart from the drinking thing.

1. I always ship non canon pairings, therefore this for me, is the wonderfully weird returned from the veil Sirius Black and an older and wiser Hermione Granger.
2. I would show The Doctor around Wellington and do lots of crazy stuff I would never dare to do otherwise!
3. I honestly can't think of any Halloween related movies, so I'm going to say the Halloween eps of Community.
4. A BUNNY! No really, I would probably be a Sloth. I'm already the human equivalent.
5. Cupcake, simply for the icing:cake ratio
6. Probably 'Demons' by Sleigh Bells
7. Art. No contest.
8. SO MANY CHOICES. Except that we only got one TV channel in the nineties at my house, so I'm going to have to go with the show that I enjoyed the most when I was visiting my nana and granddad - The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
9. Not technically a superhero (super soldier) but Max from Dark Angel. If it HAS to be a superhero then I would say Tony Stark/Iron Man. Just because he is fucking awesome.
10. ALL THE SEAFOOD
11. Being tickled, and unexpectedly losing access to the internet (yes seriously)

There we go, cheats way out over!
Some items:

1. UM. You were drunk when you were 6?! WHAT EVEN.
2. Yay for library books!
3. Who DOESN'T have an irrational soft spot for Abba?
4. UM, Celsius? I'm American. We're dumb and aren't taught to convert.

On Challenge recipe 22: Churros:
OM NOM NOM NOM!

Mmmmmmmmmmm, so good. I wanna!

And!

Melted dark chocolate. ::drools::

On Dead men don't tip, Agent Scully:
I think the creepy no-leg Indian dude is Deep Roy, the guy who played all the Oompa-loompas in the Johnny Depp re-make of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Yes, he is - I just checked. Also, you may be interested to know he was in 7 episodes of old-school Dr Who :-)

On We all have the potential for greatness:
Tina Fey is a huge inspiration to me. Don't get me wrong, I will never be a comedy writer or doing improv but she is marvelous at what she does, writing movies, writing books, starring/directing/creating her own show. She is funny and smart and works her butt off, something I should try for once. She is just so damn good and pretty!

And then there's my grandma. She is the strongest person I know. She has seen too many family members pass away but she is still here and has always cared for me. She is as much of a parent to me as my Mom was. Gran is a big part of who I turned out to be as a person.

As far as fictional characters go, I'd have to go with Buffy as well for all the reasons you wrote!

So that's my list :-)
Oh! My love of Maggie Smith grows and grows! She was amazing in The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel...and then I was reminded last night that she was in Sister Act!
Oh my word, and a google search tells me she is actually a Dame! OH! And she's 77!! Bless her!!
LOVE her!

Ahhh, the end of high school! I so thought I would be a grown up by now, at my high school age! Silly girl! Ha!
Yes to Buffy, yes to Joss. This Tom Hiddleston dude, I really need to look him up...wow! And Maggie smith is a dame in all the best, most awesomesauce ways. Fabulous woman! xx

On Movie Monday: Strictly Ballroom:
I have an embarrassing confession. I love this movie (not the confession) - and have seen it many many a time. And watched it when I was quite a young thing in America. WHERE I DIDN'T REALISE IT WAS AN AUSTRALIAN MOVIE.

I just figured they talked funny.
I have been known to tell people to stop what they are doing because "it's not Federation". They almost certainly think I'm insane.

This is a brilliant movie. Why did we stop laughing at ballroom dancing and instead, turn it into primetime TV??
OMG HOW I LOVE THIS MOVIEEEEE...!

And it's been far, FAAAAR too long since the last time I watched it. Must remedy this post-haste. I, too, have a slightly unnatural soft spot for it, on account of the fact that it was one of the first Aussie movies I saw upon arriving in Oz July 1994 (the other one being Muriel's Wedding, which was and still is one of the most brilliant and heart-wrenching movies I've seen).

Gia Carides is also Anthony LaPaglia's wife! And I kind of love him.

The paso doble, OH the paso doble...!

Yes, Paul Mercurio was hot in this movie, but I also see him as today's Paul Mercurio...I mean, he's still a handsome man, but he's...not the same, eh? :D

XOXO

On Ancient History, Volume XXXII:
Stuff gets weird? Like things haven't already been strange on this trip!? :)

Horse and carriage always does sound romantic, but man, they are bouncy and genuinely a bit uncomfortable.
I'm just bumping around some new blogs. Your pictures are gorgeous, even if they were shamelessly stolen from someone else. The cenotes look so beautiful. I would totally be the one floating around down there without a care in the world until I finally realized that I might not be able to climb out again.

Still, there are worse prisons!

On Movie Monday: Hocus Pocus:
Best Halloween movie ever! (Also, I JUST found out about the Thackery/McGee thing. Mind. Blown.)
Yes. YES TO EVERYTHING.

And, I flipped the hell out when I figured out last year that Thackery Binx was Timothy McGee. I still cannot believe it.
I too am shocked about the whole McGee thing, but that just makes him more awesome :)

Also I haven't seen this movie in ages! I think I need to fix that.

On Pride and Prejudice:
I know! I all fan-girl squealed yesterday over the LBD. And then I watched it twice!
Aaand today I visited Chatsworth House, site of the Matthew Macfayden version of P&P. I wasn't as awesomed out as at Lyme House but it was still pretty awesome :)
I'm so with you - the bbc version is the only version. The end.

I love you guys like crazy for all the genius comments you leave me every month. I'm sorry in advance for all the blog posts that are going to be coming your way this month. (Hopefully some of them won't suck...) And don't forget to go and link up with Jessica for the blog comment carnival!

I'll see you all tomorrow.

Blog comment carnival: September 2012

Uh, how is it the last day of September already?!?!?!?! YO NO COMPRENDO, YOU GUYS. Anyway, the end of the month can only mean one thing - it's time to link up with Jessica for the blog comment carnival!!

On last month's blog comment carnival:
My favourite comment on my blog this week was from The Zadge something along the lines of "Is being a little bit Jewish like being a little bit pregnant"

Of course the answer to that is...Yes. And also like being "a little bit allergic to gluten"

HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

I literally DLed this an hour ago to watch tonight. Coincidence? OR MINDMELD???
I love how so many times Movie Monday is what inspires my Netflix queue. I love this movie and NEED to see it again. And again. And again. On repeat like Pocket Full of Sunshine.

Geez ... Maybe they both skipped at 'checking time zone in Australia' master class.

I really really really hope you have all your flights booked with no problem. Specially for those ones when you have to change plane, I hope you have enough time to do it. On other note, awesomeness for your holidays.

Giant bitey mosquitoes!
Cut-off suit pants!
Self-inflicted groinage pain!
Steep temple stairs!
Pretty temples!

EVERYTHING.

Love the Ancient History series, it kicketh ass.

xoxo

A) This movie is HILAR and I find it funnier every time I watch it and

2. Normally when celebs die I'm all 'Oh, sad. Oh well.' but with MCD I am genuinely really rather sad. For more than five minutes. I may possibly have had an inappropriate crush. Just a tiny one. Why do I always find myself attracted to actors over forty? Is this something I need to investigate? Is it some kind of freudian thing that I should be worried about.

Nah, screw it. Older men be hot, yo.

I can't live alone because of the "Oh god someone's going to murder me feelings." There are a list of things that make me paranoid for no reason: Being alone at night. Showering at night. Showering in an empty house. (I've never seen Psycho, but I at least know the pretty girl gets murdered in the shower.) Also, standing in front of a mirror in the dark.

I also have a habit of reading/watching things I shouldn't before bed. Last night, I read an article about that new movie "The Possession" and how it's based on a true story. You're welcome for the nightmares.

Replies
  1. WHY WOULD YOU TELL ME THAT, LEAH??????? O.o

Also? When I'm alone in the house, I have to pee with the bathroom door open. Because if you shut the door to pee while you're alone in the house, that's when there'll be an axe murderer on the other side when you open the door again.

A case of the crazies: I has one.
I have a case of the crazies, too, as shown above. To add to my list of neuroses? I have to sleep with all the doors shut. Bedroom door, closet door, etc. I think it's the whole "the monsters are in the closet" thing from when you're a kid.
Also, movies are about demon possession are not to be messed with. That shit is real.
OH MY GOD, LEAH. We're the same person. I have the same deal with the doors having to be closed. But I also hate ANY of the cupboard doors in the house being left open. It gives me a wiggens like whoa.
This TOTALLY happened to me. I moved out at 25 and I was basically like, "Pffft. Parents. I don't need you." Then I realized I didn't know how to take care of myself and I was basically going to live in sloth forever unless I 1) hired a mid because I found an awesome, 6-figure paying job (far too lazy); B) became an escort and found a rich man to take care of me (not a bad idea, BTW. Still waiting on that) or MARMOSET) learned how to be an adult.

Now I love, love doing laundry and actually don't mind stuff like cleaning and cooking. Also, having my own place rules because I get to sleep in and don't have to ask my parents to have friends over. Not that I actually have friends. But you know.

I still run out of chocolate all the time though. It sucks.
Also, this: "When friends tell me they're getting married, my response is "I WILL SEND YOU LINKS TO *ALL* THE UGLY WEDDING DRESSES, BECAUSE LOL FOREVER"."

I cannot wait to get home and see what delights you have uncovered. Thanks ever so.
Awwww. Melting the plastic - that sounds like a kitchen mistake I would make. I'm proud.

I love manatees. So ungainly. Just like me!

I'm also a fan of pottery with monkeys on it.
A 45-min walk into the jungle?! HOLY CRAPIOLI. That sentence made my run blood cold, bahahah. You're right, that DOES sound like the start of a horror movie.

Love your exchange with the guide -- that totally would've been me, too.

Vomit Guy? Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!

Squealy Chair Jumping Dude? Bwahahahahah!

Oh God, that sunburn sounds horrendous. :-(((
So sorry you had to go through that...ugh. On the bright side, no malaria!

XOXO

Basically - Zefron? Yes. I love him singing and dancing (especially in Hairspray), I love him as a 35 year old in a 17 year olds body, AND in the sappy movies. I haven't seen The Lucky One yet, but that other one about the kid ghost and stuff... yup. Loved him. And just... I love this move. You made my Monday (yet again). I love that I inspired you!!!!!! Oh! I also liked him in Me and Orsen Wells. I felt like that even though it wasn't a big hit, it was a good transitional role for him. And yay for being on Firefly. When I watched that episode I was all "OMG IS THAT WHO I THINK IT IS????" And let's not forget his boss poster in A Very Potter Musical.
I only watched this because a) Chandler is in it, 2) When he was on Conan he said that Zac Effron actually played Matthew Perry's character rather than his own and I found that intriguing, and 3) I was on a 14 hr flight to Japan. Less than 2 hrs later I was completely in love with him and the movie.

"Be aware that when jam has been in a 200 degree oven for 20 minutes, it has the approximate temperature of molten lava... I learnt the hard way. Don't be me."

That's why, when Mum & Dad did finally stop and get a bag of those hot jam donuts from one of those little caravans parked along the Princess Highway between Melbourne and Traralgon, they would always keep the bag in the front of the car and not to let us have any for at least 10 minutes.

Because when you're doing 100kmh down the Princess Highway the last thing you want is a 10 y/old kid in the back taking a huge bite out of molten lava-filled pastry. And as much as you don't want that to happen, you really, REALLY do not want to BE that kid. I learned that the hard way, too.

It's clearly a psychosomatic ailment on NP's part - driven, I've no doubt by resentment at your clear favouritism toward non-NP. NP knows the other is your favourite, so NP is determined to live down to your expectations, undoubtedly thinking the plant equivalent of "you'll be happy when I'm dead, I know that!"
All of my plants are needy plants. Oh wait, that's a lie. I'm just an awful plant mother. I'm only allowed cacti nowadays.
Dear god I have a needy plant. I don't even like plants but in expecting a child in 3 months I'm determined to make this bastard live in hopes that it will make me a good mother lol.

You are a queen -- that MS Paint image made my day. Brilliant, I tells ya!

Three hours on a bus in WET CLOTHES?! Holy shit. I'm glad you didn't get pneumonia, eeeeek!

The Mayan ruins in Tulum look beautiful, offset perfectly by that crazy-awesome turquoise sea...ahhhhhh! Tell me y'all swam!

Also, Attacking Karaoke Monkey should totally be a band name. (Or a name for SOMETHING...)

In other news, MISSED YOUUUUUU!

xoxo
It's so gorgeous! The colour of the water is amazing. Plus, once you add ruins to any given situation, you automatically end up with exponential levels of awesomeness.

This sounds terrible but the day that Julie Andrews and Dame Maggie Smith leave the world, I will cry ugly tears and then eat my body weight in chocolate ice-cream. Julie Andrews is the epitome of perfection in every role she has ever been cast in. If Australia ever becomes a republic, I demand they make Julie Andrews the Queen of Australia (yes I realise the error in my statement, but lets face it, where there's a will, there's a way)

and yes, I love this movie. The more I watch that gif of her falling, the more I agree with you - they couldn't have possibly scripted it so well.
I just texted my mom to tell her to bring this movie when she comes to visit this weekend so we can watch it after I move into my new apartment. So there's that.

AND I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

It's just so... so.... it's this movie! I love everything about it. AMAZEBALLS.

And that whole falling on the bleachers thing- not scripted. I can't remember where I heard that, but I remember seeing that or reading it somewhere.

And with debate as a class, it all depends on the school. Some schools have it as an elective, others you don't. Some school have it as a club too. We also had debate in our history and current events classes.

MY QUESTION STILL GROSSES YOU OUT!!!

Win.

I believe the correct nerd-term for female hulk is "She-Hulk", yes, because that's how creative that decided to be...

"So Bob, what should we name Hulk's female counterpart?"
"Er, She-Hulk"
"GENIUS!"

In other news, I want that screw driver. And the K9 I saw advertised on Ebay. And the 500 year diary.
